AMS to Record 3 New Demos This Summer
Apr 27, 2011
Summer is only a few weeks away, and American Music Standard plans to make the most out of it. So what's gonna keep us busy over the next few months?
First, we must announce that we are taking a break from playing shows over the summer. That doesn't mean we won't do one, it simply means we won't be actively searching for gigs. If we are invited to play for a special event (and there is always a reasonable chance of that happening), we will happily perform.
Taking a break from shows will give us time to work on other stuff. For example, we have some new material that we hope to finish as soon as possible. We will be practicing hard all summer to prepare this new material (and our other material) for upcoming shows. That means when we start playing shows again, they should be our best ones yet.
In addition, the band will start recording at Ian's home studio again within the next few weeks. This time, we plan on finishing 3 songs: Searchin' for Love, Gone Like Yesterday, and Hard Way Out. The songs will be released on the website as soon as we complete them.
We will also be working with Cardin to release more pictures, videos, and other media. This includes behind-the-scenes footage of our recording sessions and Tyler's interview video.
Now that you know what our plans are, make sure you stay up-to-date with our progress!
