Hear Me Clearly Featured on Kyle Walz's Blog

As some of you may have seen, we’re playing a show in April with a guy from Missouri named Kyle Walz. Back in January, Kyle reached out to us because he was looking for some local bands to play a gig with him in Memphis. We love networking with other musicians, especially new people from out of town, so we were thrilled when he invited us and happily agreed to join him. Since then, we’ve been gradually getting to know Kyle as we prepare for the upcoming show.

Now, if there’s one thing you need to know about Kyle (other than being a cool guy in general), he runs an excellent blog on his website called the Original Music Spotlight where he showcases all sorts of artists that he meets and plays with. Not only does he offer his own perspective on their music, but he invites the artist to provide the backstory to one of their songs, giving a behind-the-scenes look at writing, recording, and performing the song.

As we were exchanging emails about the show, Kyle offered to write a blog post about us, and asked us to provide the story behind one of our songs. Of course, we were happy to oblige, and we selected Hear Me Clearly since it’s one of our favorite songs that we’ve written as a full band, which means both Tyler and I could talk about the song from our own point of view.

Kyle published the blog post yesterday and it turned out great. You should go visit his blog and check it out. Not just because this post is about us; while you’re there, take a few minutes to read some more of his posts featuring other artists. I think you’ll find them interesting and you might discover some new music you really like. And make sure you listen to Kyle’s music. He is clearly a talented singer, guitarist, performer, song writer, and all-around musician. I think this is obvious from the recordings he’s posted online, and they're definitely worth listening to.
