The Rock n' Roll Refugees Are Now American Music Standard
Feb 22, 2012
If you've been keeping up with our updates over the past few weeks, you've probably noticed that we have some important news for everyone. Well, it's finally time for us to reveal the big announcement: after careful consideration, we have officially decided to change our band name. At the time of this news update, we will no longer be called The Rock n' Roll Refugees. So what's our new name? American Music Standard.
The name is the only major thing that's changing. We're keeping the exact same style, sound, lineup, etc. A Facebook page for the new name is now up and running at http://www.facebook.com/americanmusicstandard. So go click the "Like" button and spread the word to your friends and fellow fans! Our new website will be http://www.americanmusicstandard.com, but it's still under construction because we're in the process of transferring content. Along with the new website, we'll have new YouTube, Twitter, and ReverbNation pages available soon, too. The old RRR pages will still be available for a while as we complete the transition, so you can still access all the old content.
The name change comes just in time for the release of our first full length album in early March. As we near the completion of the album, we've been very happy with how everything sounds, and we're excited to see what everyone thinks when the album is available in a few weeks.
All of this is part of an effort to constantly grow, evolve, and become the best band we can be. As usual, we're thankful for all of your support.
